Blemish Prone
If your skin often feels oily and appears shiny and your skin is prone to flare ups, this could mean you have blemish prone skin. This is because the sebaceous glands produce more sebum than in other skin types. Salicylic Acid is a great ingredient for treating blemish prone skin due to its antibacterial properties and how it stimulates skin cell turnover.
AGEING SKIN & UNEVEN TONE
As we move through life our skin undergoes various changes that can effect our overall skin appearance and texture. Exposure to environmental aggressors, hormonal changes and loss of collagen all contribute to visible signs of ageing and uneven tone. Hydrating, smoothing and renewing ingredients like Retinol, Collagen and Ceramides are ideal for skin going through these changes.
DULL & LACKLUSTRE
Dull and lacklustre skin usually refers to tired skin which possibly has some pigmentation and wrinkles caused by sun damage. Dehydrated skin can also look dull. Using a moisturiser regularly can help to hydrate your skin and bring back some natural shine. Ingredients you should look out for include Vitamin C & E, Hyaluronic Acid, Caffeine, Licorice and Glycerine.
DRY & DEHYDRATED
If your skin feels rough or flaky an often feels ‘tight’ or itchy, it is likely you have dry skin. Dry skin is caused by a lack of oil and environmental factors such as cold/dry climates. Sun or too much sun exposure can dry out skin even more. If your skin is dry, you need to introduce moisture and ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid as it helps retain moisture for dewier looking skin.
Lack of firmness & elasticity
Loss of elasticity and firmness are common concerns as we age or undergo significant changes in our skin's structure over time. You may experience a noticeable loss of contour, deeper lines, texture changes, or skin that appears thinner or sagging (especially around the neck and décolleté). Hydration, sun protection, body massage and elasticity boosting ingredients are key if you have this skin concern.
